Manchester United has received a huge boost with the news that French striker Anthony Martial is back in full training. The 23-year-old has missed the Red Devils last 8 matches with a hamstring injury.
Martial was in fine form prior to his injury and had scored two goals in the first three matches for Ole Gunnars team. Following the sale of Romelu Lukaku and the loan deal to Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan, Martial was playing in his favored number nine position.
His return will be a big boost for Manchester United who are lacking in goals at the moment. The team has scored just two goals in their last five matches. They are currently 12th on the table with nine points which leaves just two points above the relegation places.
Also missing for Manchester United is World Cup-winning midfielder Paul Pogba who has an ankle sprain. His situation is being monitored and updates on his fitness will be issued later on in the week.
Anthony Martial famously scored his first goal for Manchester United on his debut against Liverpool at Old Trafford. On Sunday however, Liverpool will be the favorites as they have won all 8 matches they have played this season and top the English Premier League table.
A loss for Manchester United could leave them in the relegation zone which would pile even more pressure on the manager.
