Gor Mahia CEO Announces Candidature for FKF Presidency, To Step Down from Club Role

Gor Mahia Chief Executive Officer Lordvick Aduda has announced his bid for Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Presidency ahead of the upcoming elections.

The former FKF Secretary-General has joined former Vihiga County Governor Moses Akaranga and former federation boss Sam Nyamweya in wanting to replace incumbent Nick Mwendwa.

“I have rolled up my sleeves and I am ready to take on Mwendwa in the upcoming FKF elections. The big concern, however, is the news that Mwendwa and his camp have been spreading that he has been endorsed by branch officials. Where was he endorsed and why does he want to lock out other candidates?” he jested.

He says his track record at K’Ogalo is enough evidence that he can take national football management to the next level.

“Gor Mahia is where it is today because of teamwork and cooperation between myself and other officials. This is a great achievement and it will be replicated from the top-tier league to the bottom grassroots levels when I take over,” he said.

He goes ahead to express his willingness to resign from his Gor Mahia seat but insists he’ll only do so if playing ground for FKF elections is levelled.

“I will be resigning as Gor Mahia CEO only if I’m confident that the election will be free and fair. I don’t fear competition and I’m convinced that I will win since my track record is clear,” he said.
