Nyali MP Mohammed Ali has expressed his disappointment with his Suna East counterpart, Junet Mohammed, over his hateful remarks during the ODM Campaigns at Kibra on Sunday afternoon.

The former journalist recalled his coverage of the 2007 Post Election Violence( PEV) noting that the country should never go to war again due to inciteful remarks by politicians.

“Junet Mohammed your Damn wrong on this one. I covered 2007 PEV. You know nothing about WAR apart from watching it on TV during that difficult time. We should never ever go back there. There are rules, they are the only one that seperates us from the animals,” said Mohamed Ali.

This came after the Suna East MP’s controversial remarks when campaigning for Imran Okoth in Kibra on Sunday 13.

During the event at the DC Grounds, the MP threatened that he would lead Kibra Youth to DP William Ruto’s Karen home to burn the house.

Junet was agitated over claims that Kibra voters had been collecting bribes from the deputy president at his Karen residence.

“Tukiona watu wa Kibra wakiitwa kule Karen tena, sisi tutaenda huko na kuchoma hiyo nyumba kwa sababu hiyo nyumba ni ya wanainchi (If we see Kibra residents being invited to Karen again, we will go there and burn that house which belongs to Kenyans),” remarked Junet.

Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati also faced an uproar from Kenyans over his remarks during the ODM rally held on Sunday.

Political temperatures in Kibra seem to be getting higher ahead of the November 7 parliamentary by-election, with ODM and Jubilee parties dominating.

The Sunday afternoon campaign did not end well as a middle-aged man died after falling from a moving vehicle in the ODM convoy.

The victim was reportedly hanging on a moving Toyota Prado when he fell off and was ran over by other speeding vehicles in the convoy outside Yaya Centre.

On Saturday, Macdonald Mariga’s team was stoned by rowdy youth who attacked one of his vehicles and went on to set its tyres ablaze beside his campaign billboard.
