Just where is the world heading to? Day in Day Out, the County of Migori keeps making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Just a few days ago, a police in Migori County was Arrested For Killing Boda Boda Rider Over Ksh100 Levy.

Even before dust could settle on the above incident, more blood has been shed in the Governor Okoth Obado backyard and this time it is a family affair.

An angry mob on Sunday lynched a 53 year old man for allegedly killing his mother. The gruesome incident was reported to have occurred at Ogwedhi Village.

The suspect who has since been identified as Sospeter Ouma beheaded his mother with a Panga.

Confirming the incident, Migori County Police Commander Joseph Nthenge said that angry residents landed on Sospeter who was later rescued by the police but succumbed to his injuries at the Migori Level Four Hospital.

According to the Chief of the area, Wilson Ogwada, Mr. Sospeter who had just recently returned from Mombasa looked like someone with mental issues.

It was not the first time he was attacking his mother. On Friday, he attempted to attack his 87 year old mother who was later forced to seek refuge at a neighbour.

The motive behind his attacks on the mother are however not clear with their bodies now lying at the Migori Level Four Morgue.

Elsewhere, a 41 year old woman hacked her 1 month old baby to death in Kihingi, Kigetuini Village in Murang’a County. She was later arrested and is now in police custody.
