Eliud Kipchoge has done what no man has achieved since the creation of earth and heaven. He has become the first man to complete 42km in under 2 hours by clocking 1:59:40 on October 12, in Austria Vienna.

And the world is awash with congratulatory messages to the 34-year old Kenyan who has broken his two records to the title. The first one is the IAAF-recognized 2:1:39 and the other one is 2:00:25 which he recorded in 2017 while attempting to break the 2-hour barrier for the first time.

It’s now no longer an athletics affair as the football community too has joined hands in appreciating the Olympic champion.

Premier League side Manchester City have taken to their social media page to let their message known.

Former player and current pundit Rio Ferdinand has also expressed his joy with Eliud Kipchoge’s success.

Back in Kenya, giant clubs AFC Leopards, Gor Mahia and Wazito have also not been left behind.
