Video: Shock as Man Digs Out Father’s Remains After Eviction in Nandi

Residents of Kiptuiya village in Chesumei constituency Nandi county were on Wednesday left in shock after a man dug out the remains of his father who had been buried many years ago.

According to reports, the man dug out skeletons from his late father’s grave as he tried asking the whereabouts of their shamba.

The incident happened after a court order allowed the sons of the first owner of the alleged land to evict more than 2000 people from a 30-acre piece of land in Kiptuiya.

“I have suffered my father…I have nowhere to take my children,” the man is heard crying while digging out he grave.

The man who was accompanied by many other evictees, at last, managed to retrieve his father’s skull, placed it on his head and walked around while wailing.

The incident comes just some days after a 22-year-old man from Maseno village in Subukia, Nakuru County had spent the night exhuming the remains of his father who was buried 19 years ago.

Mr. Patrick Mwangi spent the entire Tuesday night digging up his father’s grave, a few days after he disclosed to his relatives that a man in Rumuruti, Laikipia County had asked for the bones in order to make him rich and sustain his tomatoes agribusiness.
