Mercy Anne is the beautiful wife to Veteran Kenyan midfielder Moses Odhiambo aka Dube.
Mercy, better known as Mercansa Blacks, has been Dube’s soulmate for many years and they’re always open about their love.
In 2018, during Mercy’s birthday, Dube openly took to social media to smother his wifey with romantic words; “It’s your day my love and I thank the God for having you as my wife. Happy birthday love,” he wrote.
So far, the couple has five kids, their last born is about one-year-old. That’s why Dube now has another nickname; ‘Baba Alani’.
Prior to Alani’s birth, in 2018, Dube lit the interwebs with stunning baby bump photos which literary wowed his friends, colleagues and family members.
And the 39-year-old former Gor Mahia ace has given out reasons for that ‘unexpected’ gesture among many Kenya sportsmen.
“I’ve never taken such photos in my entire life. I never did it when we were expecting any of the first four kids but I felt it was nice to do it for the fifth child. The entire idea here was to close the birth chapter in style. Five kids are enough for me. My wife and I have decided not to have another child after Alani,” he said.
Mercy is a lover of nature and a happy soul who always wants to be next to her hubby-in good and bad times. She has clearly stood by Dube in his football career- a career which started at the defunct Utalii United many years ago.
Her main hobby is listening to music but with ‘Dube’ in the mix, she has added football to the list.
‘Dube’ has been a household name at various clubs-both in the country and abroad.
He started off at the defunct Utalii United then joined Tusker later on. He has since played for Gor Mahia, Thika United, Ushuru FC, Sofapaka and Nakumatt too.
In East Africa, the midfielder has starred at Tanzania’s Moro United, Simba SC and Yanga plus a stint at Rwanda’s APR.
After leaving APR, Odhiambo had a stint with Belgian second-tier side AS Eupen between 2008 and 2009.
