Wazito Coach Sent Packing for Mouthing Over ‘Disputed Goal’ Against Mathare United

Image result for fred ambaniWazito head coach Fred Ambani has been red-carded and sent to the stands for ‘spewing venom’ after his team equalized against Mathare United at the ongoing Kenyan Premier League (KPL) at Kasarani Stadium.

Mathare United got their first goal, and the match’s opener in the 27th minute via an own-goal by Wazito FC’s Bernard Ochieng’- a situation which intensified pressure especially for the moneybags going into the later minutes of the first half.

It was visible that Wazito were bitterly out for an equalizer and the pitch was tensed. But it was until the 37th minute after Victor Ndinya equalized when things got out of hands for Ambani.

He staged an altercation with the Fourth Official forcing the centre referee to show him the red card and sent him out of the bench to watch the proceedings from the stands. It is still not clear what could be the cause of his uncontrollable anger at a time when his team had secured an equalizer.

The match went on with both teams trying to get the better of the other to no avail as both went to the tunnel with one goal each to their name.

However, Kevin Kimani shot at the stroke of second-half to return Mathare United to the lead. It will now be fascinating to see how the match proceeds into the second half and full-time whistle; both teams having promised their fans straight wins ahead of the clash.
