A woman has caused a social media storm after she videotaped herself walking from her job with her termination letter in hand.
She had just lost her job and she took to social media to express her frustrations. The woman revealed that she is also a mother and has a hired nanny who will also lose her job because of it.
Her rant also comes just a day after Spotpesa laid off 400 employees as its operations officially in Kenya were officially closed.
The uproar under the hashtag #ILostMyJob from Kenyan youth is intense as many vouch to boycott the Mashujaa Day celebrations.
All the fingers are pointing at the government for the rising levels of unemployment in the country.
“Kenyatta regime has plundered this country to it’s knees. Agricultural & manufacturing sectors are on a free fall,” David Wagikuyu said.
“What do you expect when an insane government official allows the fabrication and welding of footbridges to be done complete in China ready to install. How much labour chain have we lost to the Chinese? #SaveMyJob greedy leaders #ILostMyJob evil will follow you,” Nyakwea added.
