Masud Juma Pulls Out Of Harambee Stars Squad

Kenyan striker Masud Juma has puled out of Francis Kimanzi’s Harambee Stars team set to face Mozambique in a friendly match later this month.

Masud, who plays for Algerian side JS Kabylie picked up a knee injury in his last league match and has since been replaced by Ulinzi stars forward Enosh Ochieng, who played a part in Kenya’s CHAN Qualifier against Tanzania, as well as the friendly match against Uganda.

Enosh is the leading goalscorer in the Kenya Premier League so far this season with 3 goals for Uliniz in the first four matches. He also finished last season as the second-highest scorer in the league with 17 goals one behind Kakamega Homeboyz striker Allan Wanga.

Francis Kimanzi started his third stint as Harambee Stars coach with an encouraging 1-1 draw against neighbors Uganda at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani in September.

The match against Mozambique will be in preparation ahead of November’s Africa Cup Of Nations qualifier with Mohamed Salah’s Egypt. The team reports to camp on October 7 while the match will be played on Sunday, October 13 at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani from 4 pm.
