Gor Mahia Rally Fans for Nzoia Sugar Duel

Gor Mahia have called upon fans to turn up in large numbers for their upcoming Kenyan Premier League match against Nzoia Sugar.

KÓgalo were recently relegated to Caf Confederations Cup tournament after they went down 2-0 at the hands of Algerian side USM Alger in front of home fans at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, but the club has now shifted a renewed focus to local league action.

According to a post on their official social media accounts, the 18-time Kenyan Premier League champions seem to be ready to whip Nzoia Sugar on Wednesday, October 2, when they meet at Mumias Sports Complex. “Fam, our focus now shifts to tomorrow’s match. See you in Mumias,” the simple pictorial post read.

Gor Mahia will be heading to the match from a 2-1 KCB win- three points collected on September 22, at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

With two matches at hand, the Steven Polack-coached outfit are at position eight on the Kenyan Premier League table while their next opponents are sitting on the 12th position just below Sofapaka, Wazito and Mathare United, who are separated by a single point each.

At the top of the table are Western Stima who have garnered eight points from four matches. They are closely followed by AFC Leopards, Kakamega Homeboyz, Ulinzi Stars, KCB, Bandari and Tusker in that order.
