Wazzir Kakooza, a renowned owner of Vintage cars in Uganda, attended the 49th CBA Africa Concours d’Elegance in Nairobi where he won best costume category.
Kakooza hails from Uganda in his 1986 Peugeot 505 not only graced the event but did it in style. And this did not come as a surprise since he has always taken home an award for the best costume.
The 49th Edition The annual event, which has been in existence since 1970, had 72 car entries and 31 motorcycle entries highlighting the African continental status of the classiest event on the Kenyan motorsport calendar.
As usual, the driver’s costume was also part of the judging process and some people came out decked in colourful attire. Actually, if you stood out from the crowd due to your choice of clothing, you were called upon to enjoy a ride in one of the vehicles.
Concours highlighted having a mix of machine and a little of our own history, using metal and bold African prints.
