Barely three days since Cabinet Secretary forInterior Fred Matiang’i toured Kiambu County to address the sporadic cases of insecurity, three people were found dead on Saturday morning.

According to Citizen Tv, the bodies of the three, yet to be identified, were found on the road in Ichaweri village, Gatundu.

According to witnesses, the three could have been murdered somewhere and their bodies moved to the location.

Surprisingly, where the bodies were allegedly dumped is 100 metres away from President Uhuru Kenyatta’s paternal home.

Residents called on the government to up their game as they expressed fears over the increasing macabre killings that are seemingly getting out of control.

Residents have been suspecting the outlawed Mungiki sect to be behind the murders.

On Thursday, CS Matiangi warned those behind the killings saying he will  fight them “just like ex-Cabinet Minister John Michuki did”

“I am following the footsteps of Michuki. We will not allow people to be harassed every time. And we know what is going on here,” he said.

CS Matiangi also pledged to undertake major reorganisation of his team in the region in a bid to enhance efficiency.

“We will also reorganise police deployment in Kiambu to address security matters effectively. We will comb this region thoroughly because we don’t want to have this madness again,” Matiang’i said.

Michuki had led a major crack-down on the group that had terrorised the region for some time.
