Boost for Wazito as key pair returns for Zoo clash

Kenyan Premier League side, Wazito FC has been handed a major boost ahead of Sunday Kenyan Premier League match against Zoo FC after two key players were passed fit to play.

Joe Waithira and Derrick Onyango have been out injured and have been cleared to play against Zoo and have traveled with the team to Kericho.

Joe missed the last two games against Western Stima and AFC Leopards with a knock while Onyango sat out of the match against Ingwe with a knock.

“The team has this morning departed Nairobi for Kericho where we will play Zoo FC in a Kenyan Premier League match on Sunday afternoon.

” Forwards Joe Waithira and Derrick Onyango have recovered from injuries and have been named in the squad that will take on the host at Kericho Green Stadium,” the club said in a statement.

The team will however have to do without midfielder Amos Asembeka and keeper Kevin Omondi who picked injuries in training. The pair featured in Wazito’s last three games with Kevin particularly impressive in goal.

“Amos Asembeka and keeper Kevin Omondi who have been in great form in the last three games will however sit out of the game after picking injuries in training,” the club revealed.
