Wajir Woman Representative Fatuma Gedi and Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga clashed on Wednesday over the suitability of Jubilee Kibra flagbearer MacDonald Mariga’s to run for the seat.

The two appeared on Citizen’s TV’s JKLive on Wednesday.

Gedi said Mariga has nothing to show in terms of helping Nairobi County residents despite earning millions from his International Football career.

“Mariga was earning Sh24 million a month. Let him show us one single project what Mariga did for the people of Nairobi” she stated.

She added: “What is it that he could not do when he had that platform that he wants to come and do now in Kibra”

Gedi also described Mariga as a nonstarter in the race.

She stated that ODM candidate Imran Okoth and Ford Kenya’s Khamisi Butichi have a headstart in the race.

Furthermore, Gedi raised an issue with Mariga promoting a betting company on TV adverts.

“When you put on your TV. What does your kid tell you about Mariga?”

In a rejoinder, Omanga described Gedi’s as petty saying that she was also implicated to be the women in an adult video that was shared in social media last year.

She said Mariga should not be judged on the account of endorsing Betin.

Gedi is on record denying that she was the women in the adult video recording.

Said her conscience will not allow her to back Mariga’s candidature.
