Suspects arrested in connection to the Ksh72 million heist from a Standard Chartered Bank ATM in Nairobi West are set to be released on bond from police custody on Wednesday.
The court has ruled that the suspects are to be freed on a reduced bond of Ksh 500,000 each.
High ranking defence lawyer for criminal cases, Cliff Ombeta, was representing some of the suspects allegedly involved in the heist.
A total of more than five suspects were arrested and over Ksh10 million recovered in the process.
Interestingly, two police officers in Kisii and Kendu Bay, who were also nabbed and Ksh7 million recovered in their possession will also be required to pay the same amount of bond.
