The clock is ticking towards the biggest day for two African clubs. On Sunday, September 29, Algerian outfit USM Alger and Kenyan side Gor Mahia will be facing off in a bid to decide who proceeds to the next stage of the 2019 CAF Champions League tournament, and USM are already showing great progress in training if a video posted on their social media page is something to go by.

The North African country bagged three crucial points on Sunday, September 15, when they hosted K’Ogalo in their first leg encounter and are now planning to hit the last nail on Gor Mahia’s coffin at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.

A few days ahead of the important match, the visitors, who carry a 4-1 first-leg win on their head, have shown a squad full of energy and good health in readiness to tackle the 18-time Kenyan Premier League champions.

In Kenya, the host teams are also gearing up for a do-or-die clash with hopes of recording at least 3-0 win so as to proceed to the next stage. Head coach Steven Polack, earlier in the week, said that he already knows his players’ strengths and weaknesses ahead of the match.

“Everyone knows our next game, and how it is important to us. We have to improve on our performance especially going by this match’s second half (referring to the match against KCB). We can’t play this way on Sunday. We’re still going to improve on a few aspects of our game so as to hopefully get ready for the Sunday match,” he said after their local match against KCB.
