The two have not featured in any league match this season owing to the knee problems.

They were booked for surgeries and coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo will now have to do without the pair for the season as healing could take between six and nine months.

Atudo was instrumental for the Mail-Men last season and was particularly a stand-out performer in the playoffs against Nairobi Stima to help his side retain its top-flight status, he picked the injury during pre-season.

Odongo, on the other hand, got injured in April during a league match against AFC Leopards at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. What was initially thought to be a slight injury turned out to be an Anterior Cruciate Ligament damage and the former Kitengela Shooters and Kariobangi Sharks forward has gone under the knife.

The Upper Hill Secondary School alumnus says the surgery is another major setback in what is turning out to an injury-ravaged career but has vowed to come back stronger.

“The doctor looked at the previous reports and concluded that if in the time that I had been assigned I had not healed completely; surgery would be my best shot. It is a setback, especially for me because I will be sitting out for another long time. Personally, I want to see this as just an obstacle that is meant to push me to work harder when I come back,” Odongo said.

Posta has registered mixed results so far this season. In the three games that they have played, they have registered a win, a draw, and a defeat.
