Further information pointed out that the people of Naivasha were tired of the empty promises given to them by the leaders.

On September 12, Kirinyaga County Governor, Anne Waiguru, was booed by residents of her county during the official opening of the Kagumo market at Mutira Ward.

Waiguru received the hostile reception after she had ordered that area MCA David Kinyua Wangui or any other leader perceived to be against her, not to address the gathering.

According to the Kirinyaga County boss, Kinyua had insulted her in public adding that she would not let him ruin her function.

The tough-talking Waiguru, however, bowed to pressure and was forced to allow the ward representative to address the crowd in a bid to restore order at the function.
