Kenyans on Tuesday morning praised the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth on Twitter for improving educational standards for his constituents.

The appreciations came amidst the discussions surrounding Precious Talent School, where a classroom collapsed killing seven pupils and injuring several others. The school is located in the neighbouring Dagoretti Constituency.

Among the notable school projects that Okoth financed with Kibra Constituency Development Fund is Mbagathi High School at a cost of Ksh48 million.

He also built the Raila Education Center at Ksh22 million. The project was financed by the Kibra CDF and funds from charity.

At the same time, Twitter users criticised the performance of Dagoretti MP John Kiarie under the #RecalJohnKiarie.

They accused him of doing little to improve the state of schools in the constituency after reports that the ward in which the ill-fated school is located didn’t have a public school.

On Monday, the MP was jeered when addressing the crowd that had gathered at Precious Talent School which shouted: “Kiarie Must Go”.

Here are some Twitter Reactions praising Okoth and criticising MP Kiarie:
