Kenya U20 National Team Demolishes Zanzibar 5-0 in Uganda

Youngster Sydney Lokale and substitute Austin Odhiambo were on target when Kenya’s U20 team kicked off on a high note by demolishing Zanzibar 5-0 a thrilling match played at FUFA Technical Centre in Jinja, Uganda on Sunday, September 22.

Lokale, who was on fire, scored four times with his first strike coming in at the 32nd minute from the spot.

Barely six minutes later, he had put the ball behind the net before the first half whistle putting the Risisng Stars ahead with a confident 2-0 lead.

He was on target again when he put two more goals behind the net with strikes in the 71st and 80th minute.

The show was not over as AFC Leopards forward Austin Odhiambo, coming in as a substitute, put his name on the score sheet with a 83rd goal.

With the impressive show from the youngsters, Kenya confidently sits at the top of the table of Group B with three slid points.

It also boasts of a superior five-goal difference.

Neigbours, Tanzania, are also on three points after their 4-0 win against Ethiopia but are second on the table.

The Kenyan boys have an acid test on Tuesday when they face Tanzania at the same venue in an anticipated big clash.
