Kariobangi Sharks are ready to attack Kakamega Homeboyz with a clear intention of grabbing all the points when they meet in a Kenyan Premier League match slated for Sunday.

The Sharks are thirsty for a win this season, and they think this match (against Kakamega Homeboyz) will be their game-changer in the 2019/20 episode.

From their two previous matches, the William Muluya-led side have only recorded draws; the first against Western Stima on August 30, followed by a barren one against the 12-time Kenyan Premier League champions AFC Leopards on September 15.

Ahead of their travel to Bukhungu Stadium, where their hosts await, the Nairobi-based club is already oozing confidence with a recollection of how they performed on the same pitch the last time they travelled to Kakamega County.

“We walked away with a win the last time we visited Kakamega Homeboyz. The boys (Kariobangi Sharks) will be looking to make it two wins in a row at the Bhukungu Stadium this weekend,” the club tweeted barely a day into the match.

Going into their third match of the season, Kariobangi Sharks are placed on the ninth position of the 18-team league table, just above Western Stima and below Sony Sugar.

Kakamega Homeboyz, on the other hand, registered a 1-1 draw against Posta Rangers in their most recent match after beating AFC Leopards 1-0 at Bukhungu Stadium on the league opener. With this, they stand pretty on the fifth position of the league, ahead of the Kariobangi Sharks tie. The fifth position places them just above 18-time Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia, who are having a match at hand.
