Kisumu All Stars head coach Henry Omino says his side wants nothing but a straight win from their upcoming Kenyan Premier League match against Nzoia Sugar.

The Premier League newbies have not registered a single win from their two debut matches but Omino believes the time to start collecting maximum points is fast-approaching, starting with the Nzoia encounter.

While praising his players’ attitudes at the camp, the veteran tactician says the troop is ready to face their opponents head-on.

“Am generally happy with our progress so far. I think collecting one point from two matches is something notable in our quest to pose a challenge in the league, being a new and young team in the Kenyan Premier League.

“Our main focus is on our match against Nzoia Sugar and it is all systems go. We want to register our first win, so we are going to do our best in a bid to walk home with the three points,” Omino told Opera News.

Otenga, as the club is widely known within football circles, lost their league opener against Ulinzi Stars on August 31 before recording a hard-earned barren draw against KCB at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos thereafter.

Their match against Nzoia Sugar will be played at Moi Stadium, Kisumu, as from 3 pm. Fans will have to part with Sh200 each for VIP seats and Sh100 for terraces.

The club, where former Harambee Stars defender Francis Killer Oduor sits as an assistant coach, is currently ranked 16th on the 18-team league table. They are above the 11-time Kenyan Premier League Champions Tusker and Chemelil Sugar.
