The Bankers started the season with a 3-0 win over Sony Sugar before settling for a barren draw against Kisumu All-Stars and now top the Kenyan Premier League log with four points. Gor, on the other hand, has played one match, a game they registered a heavy 5-2 win over Tusker FC in Kisumu.

Last season, KCB was the only side that did not lose to the champions. The picked a 1-0 win in a first leg that was marred by incidences of hooliganism. In the second leg, they threw away a 3-0 lead to settle for a three-all draw.

Speaking ahead of the game, Oduor who has been in charge of the team for the last two games in the absence of coach Zedekiah Otieno who has been away in Germany said his team will give its best to get a positive result from the match. He also welcomed Zico’s return saying it’s a boot the team.

“First we will be welcoming back our head coach and that’s a boost for us because the bench is now complete with our leader back. The game against Gor Mahia is a match like any other, we will go there and give our best. Last season’s results do not matter because this is entirely a new season with new players and new coaches and so we will have to approach the game differently and try to win,” he told Opera News.

The match will kick off at 4;15 EAT and will be preceded by the match between Posta Rangers and Western Stima.
