DCI Nabs 12 High-end Cars With Fake Registration Numbers

Suspect Arrested in the 12 vehicles recovery by detectives

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI) on Thursday recovered twelve motor vehicles which were either stolen or registered illegally from a yard in Eldoret.

According to the DCI, sleuths from the flying squad acting on a tip-off from the public,  led the operation in Eldoret which saw the arrest of one man.

The vehicles were recovered from a yard at  Ndaptabwa Kipsimo in Eldoret. The vehicles included luxurious cars like a  Mercedes Benz.

One suspect, Gideon Kipkoech Kichwen, was arrested.

The vehicles have been kept as exhibits by the police as further investigations are ongoing into the matter.

On another case, the high court barred the DCI and media from commenting on the murder of billionaire Tob Cohen.

Giving the directive on Monday, September 16, 2019, the court warned that publishing details of the case could further complicate the ongoing case.
