Victoria Cup: Chisanga Returns as Simbas Name Squad for Zimbabwe Clash

Kenya Rugby 15s, head coach Paul Odera has named his finest squad for the upcoming Victoria Cup duel against Zimbabwe slated for Saturday at Nakuru Athletic Club.

The most notable face in the Kenya Simbas squad is Joshua Chisanga who makes a return to the team after missing the earlier part of the competition.

The talented Chisanga will be at the back row alongside Monate Akuei and Elkeans Musonye as Ian Njenga, Toby Francombe and Melvin Thairu lead the front row.

Halfbacks Samson Onsomu and USIU’s Charles Kuka have also been named in the Starting Lineup; Samson Onsumu being the man with the arm-band. Emmanuel Mavala and Malcolm Onsando will be the First team’s locks.

On the bench are; Kabras duo of Barry Robinson and Brian Juma, Elisha Koronya of Quins, Ian Masheti of Impala, Michael Kimwele of KCB, Samuel Were of Oilers and Tony Omondi of Mwamba. Frank Mutuku is also on the bench.

The Zimbabwe match will kick off at 4.00 pm and tickets trade at Sh1000 VIPs and Sh500 Regulars.
