Joe Waithera Missing as Wazito Names Squad for AFC Leopards Clash

Kenya Premier League moneybags Wazito Fc has released their 23 men traveling squad set to face AFC Leopards at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega this Saturday.

Both teams are winless this season with Wazito picking up two draws against Nzoia Sugar and Western Stima while Leopards were beaten by Kamamega Homeboyz before picking up their first point in a 0-0 draw with Kakamega Homeboyz.

A total of 23 players have traveled to Kakamega. Musa Masika, Joshua Otieno, and Bixtente Otieno all miss out as they have traveled to Uganda with the Kenya U20 team for the 2019 Cecafa U20 championship. Joe Waithira will also miss the match as he is yet to recover from a knock he picked a week ago.

Steve Njunge, David Otieno,David Oswe, Mansoor Safi, Piscas Kirenge have been included in the squad for the first time this season.

Brian Musa, Mike Oduor and Mathew Odong who played against Nzoia but missed the match against Western Stima last weekend have also been included in the traveling party.

The last time this teams met was in the 2018 season where a last-minute goal from Wazito earned them a come from behind win.
