AFC Leopards Chairman Dan Shikanda is oozing confidence ahead of their upcoming Kenyan Premier League match against Wazito.

Ingwe will be travelling to Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega County on Saturday, September 19 for a duel which Shikanda says is a must-win tie.

He says, based on the report that head coach Andre Casa Mbungo has tabled, the players are motivated to beat the Fred Ambani-coached outfit as revenge following their defeat against the moneybags in the preseason.

AFC Leopards painfully went down 1-0 against the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) returnees, last month, during a four-team preseason tournament which also had KCB and Mathare United.

“I have talked with coach Casa Mbungo and I think we are ready to beat Wazito in the coming match. We are aware that they were lucky to beat us in a friendly match but that should not make them think that they can easily run with the three points in the league,” he told Opera News.

On the other hand, Wazito have also named a 23-man travelling squad for the clash including, Goalkeepers:  Omondi Kevin, Steve Njunge. Defenders:  Nizigiyimana Karim, Omurwa Johnstone, Wahome Lloyd, David Otieno , Ochieng Bernard, Sibomana Abouba, Owino Dan. Midfielders: David Oswe, Asembeka Amos, Ali Hassan, Musa Brian, Osok Teddy, Mansoor Safi, Mike Oduor. Forwards: Acquah Paul, Rupia Elvis, Ndinya Victor, Piscas Kirenge, Otanga Derrick, Pistone Mutamba, Mathew Odongo.
