Bandari United sealed a memorable comeback to beat Zoo Kericho 3-2 in a Kenya Premier League match played at the Mbaraki Stadium in Mombasa.

The visitors got off to a flying start and went ahead in the 15th minute. A swift counter-attack was rounded off by a smart finish from Collins Neto. Bandari was shocked and in an attempt to restore parity stormed forward leaving gaping holes at the back.

If the first counter-attack was swift from Zoo Kericho, the one that led to the second goal was brutal. The ball took three touches to get into the Bandari United penalty area where Collins Neto was in the right place at the right time to apply yet another finish.

Bandari camped in the Zoo half for the entire duration of the second half but could not find a way through. Half time found the visitors leading 2-0.

A minute into the second period, Bandari had pulled one back through Danson Namasaka and two minutes later, the Dockers were level as Yema Mwana took advantage of a mistake from the Zoo Kericho defenders to score Bandari’s second.

Highly regarded youngster Mohammed Katana alias Messi Agege was given his Kenya Premier League debut and it was one he will not forget anytime soon. Minutes after coming on, Agege curled in a superb left-footed shot that sailed into the net to complete the comeback for Bernard Mwalala’s team.
