Mwalala Warns His Side Against Complacency

Bandari FC head coach Bernard Mwalala is cautious heading into the game against Zoo scheduled for Wednesday, September 18.

The Dockers will host the Kericho based side at Mbaraki Sports Club in what will be their second match of the season. The match was initially set for Saturday, September 14 but had to be rescheduled owing to Bandari’s involvement in Caf Confederation Cup assignment.

Ahead of the 3 pm clash, Mwalala has called on his side to be cautious saying Zoo has nothing to lose and can cause problems to the Mombasa based who are favorites to pick a winner in the clash.

“It’s a very tricky game and we have to be very careful. Zoo has nothing to lose because they are playing away from home and may decide to frustrate us. We, on the other hand, have to win so that we keep pace with the leading pack, I have also noted that my players tend to be a little complacent after we have won against a big team and I have warned them that we have to approach the game professionally,” he told Opera News.

“Zoo is rebuilding, when you look at their squad this season, they are stronger because they brought in some experienced players. That makes the match trickier because you do not know what to expect from them. However, we have prepared well for the game and we will give our best, we are going for maximum points from the clash,” Mwalala added.

The Dockers will be without injured pair of Abdallah Hassan and Benjamin Mosha when they face Herman Iswekha’s side.
