Embakasi East MP, Babu Owino, remains adamant he will not apologise to anyone following remarks he made during a campaign rally for ODM party candidate for Kibra, Imran Okoth.
In his own opinion, he saw nothing wrong in a speech he delivered, on Tuesday, likening it to others given by Deputy President William Ruto and former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga.
“Ruto do abuse Raila mganga (witchdoctor) and Uhuru abused him a mad man, is there a bigger insult than the other? I owe no one any apology,” he affirmed in his Facebook post.
On Tuesday, the Embakasi legislator made a speech in Kibra that according to some, insulted Ruto and elicited reactions even from KFCB boss, Ezekiel Mutua.
In the video seen by Opera News, the ODM MP warned Ruto against invading Odinga’s home, promising to teach him a lesson that will completely silence him.

“When national leaders use the vulgar language on each other like Hon. Babu Owino did on the DP yesterday, why are we blaming that young boy for doing a vulgar video, using unpalatable language?” Mutua questioned through a post on Facebook.
Babu did not stop there, urging Mariga to choose between the lover of the late Ken Okoth, MCA Anne Thumbi, or the Kibra seat.
Thumbi was spotted sitting next to Mariga during the verification which ended in Mariga being blocked from vying.
This could have sparked sentiments by Owino plus other frequent times Anne and Mariga have been spotted more than once in public.
The lady came to the limelight after the death of Okoth when she blocked the late MP’s internment, claiming she had been locked out of preparations for his final send-off.
She had demanded a DNA test be done, which later confirmed Okoth sired her son.
