Wazito Coach Praises Kenya U20 Prodigy

Wazito FC head coach Fred Ambani has heaped praise on rookie midfielder Joshua Nyatini for his exemplary performance for the club in the two league matches played so far this season.

Nyatini came off the bench against Nzoia a fortnight ago and had a good match helping the moneybags take charge of a midfield they had lost to the Millers in the first half. Against Western Stima on Saturday, he was one of Wazito’s best performers as his side battled to a barren draw against the Power-Men.

Nicknamed the ‘Hull City Boy’ as he was part of the KPL AllStars team that traveled to England to play Hull in 2017 while still schooling at Kakamega High School, Nyatini is slowly establishing himself as a key player for Wazito and coach Ambani has singled him out for praise.

“He is a good player. Against Nzoia he came as a sub and changed the game. Against Stima he equally played well and I can say that we are blessed to have him in our team. But let’s not forget that he is still a young boy, he is growing and is bound to make mistakes along the way.  I have full confidence that he will become a top player with time,” Ambani told Opera News.

Nyatini is a Kenya U20 player and is expected to be named in the squad that will leave for Uganda for the 2019 CECAFA U20 Championship. Kenya U20 coach Stanley Okumbi is expected to name his traveling team on Tuesday morning.
