Kiambu Governor Ferdinard Waititu is on the receiving end of massive trolls from a section of social media users after a survey ranked him the worst performing governor.

In the survey released on Tuesday, the beleaguered Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu (Kiambu), Cyprian Awiti (Homa Bay), Sospeter Ojaamong (Busia), Fahim Twaha (Lamu), and Amason Kingi (Kilifi) were ranked the poorest in that order.

Dr Alfred Mutua of Machakos County was rated the best performing governor followed by Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega), Mike Sonko (Nairobi), Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) and Hassan Joho (Mombasa).

The survey was done by a UK-based company that provides commercial advisory services, All Africa Advisors.

The survey was dubbed Results of an Independent Survey of the Effectiveness of Devolution in Kenya: 2013-2019.

However, Kiambu governor defended his development track record and wondered why he was ranked yet he has been out of office.

“If I’m not in office for the last two months, how then can they go on to include me in their so-called polls?” questioned the governor as quoted by a local news website.

According to the website, Kenyans.co.ke, the governor also alluded to foul play by his political enemies saying their motive is to taint his reputation.

“That is politics at work. There are bloggers who have been hired to tarnish my reputation. They have been paid to forge figures,” the governor was quoted by the website.

However, some Kenyans went berserk with crazy reactions to Waititu’s position in the survey.

Here is how they reacted:
