President Kenyatta in Harare For Mugabe’s Funeral

President Uhuru Kenyatta has arrived in Harare to attend the State Funeral of Former President of the Republic of Zimbabwe Comrade Robert Gabriel Mugabe.

The Funeral being held at the National Sports Stadium, Harare is attended by several Heads of State and Government.

Former Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe has died at a hospital in Singapore on 6th September.

President Uhuru Kenyatta issued an order the following day for the Kenyan flag to fly half-mast for 3 days in honour of the death of former Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe.

Mugabe who was 95 had been battling ill-health for some time.

Mugabe had spent several months in Singapore getting treatment for an undisclosed illness.

Mugabe who led Zimbabwe for more than 30 years since 1980 was ousted from power through a bloodless coup in November 2017.

Mugabe believed that he would govern Zimbabwe to the end. In a speech before the African Union in 2016, he said he would remain the President “until God says, ‘Come.’”
