Havi Comes to The Defence of Ms Cohen’s Lawyer

Lawyer Nelson Havi came to the defense of Wairimu Cohen’s Lawyer Philip Murgor on Saturday over his Friday remarks that no tests have been done to confirm that the body found inside a manhole at a compound at Kitisuru, Spring Valley Road in Nairobi belongs to the late’s tycoon Tob Cohen.

Kenyans on Twitter attacked the Murgor for defending Ms Cohen.

A Twitter user Felix Kemboi said: “It is even more disgusting to see Philip Murgor rushing to defending the Chief suspect”

Havi gave four reasons why Kenyans should be fair to Murgor.

Foremost, he said the Lawyer was not on trial but his client Wairimu.

Secondly, Havi stated his client (Wairimu) is presumed innocent until guilty no matter the “the apparent vehemence of evidence against her”

Finally, he said Murgor declined the appointment by Director of Public Prosecution Nordin Haji as Private Prosecutor.

Murgor on Saturday reiterated that his client is innocent until proven guilty.

He said: “Sarah remains innocent until proven guilty by the court of law”

The Lawyer who spoke to Journalists claimed that detectives from the Director of Criminal Investigations left him out of the investigations.
