Mutula Mocks Khalwale Over Mariga’s Presentation

Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo during a past interview

Mutula Kilonzo Jr on Wednesday took a jibe at Boniface Khalwale in regards to Macdonald Mariga’s decision to run for the Kibra Parliamentary seat.

During an interview on JK Live, the Makueni Senator stated that he found it unbelievable to see the former Kakamega Senator as a Jubilee supporter.

Kilonzo pointed out that it was hilarious seeing Khalwale donning the colors of the ruling party.

“I almost fell off my seat when I saw Boni Khalwale wearing a red hat. Did you see that, it was unbelievable!”

“To see Khalwale in a red hat and T-shirt in my lifetime, I think I should start writing a book.” remarked Kilonzo.

The vocal leader further pointed out that the politics surrounding the Kibra seat were focused on the Jubilee and not necessarily the ODM party.

Kilonzo reiterated that the seat will be retained by the Raila Odinga led group despite the challenges posed by the other two parties in the race.

The Wiper party member’s attack on Khalwale comes hours after the ex-senator had thrown shade on Raila and Kalonzo’s relatives.

Through a tweet, Khalwale stated that Mariga’s treatment was unfair and uncalled for in comparison to how Kalonzo’s son Kennedy Kalonzo and Raila’s brother Oburu Odinga were treated.

He made it clear that the two were given free parliamentary seats in the East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) while the former Inter player was being denied a chance to compete for the parliamentary seat.

The tough talking politician who also served as a medical officer, Khalwale reiterated that he would not let the matter rest until equality had been achieved.
