Arsenal could be without 3 first team midfielders when they travel to face Watford in the English Premier League this Sunday. The Gunners will play their 5th Premier League fixture this season against bottom-placed Watford.

Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka limped off during his country’s 4-0 win over Gibraltar with an Achilles problem. He revealed later after the match that he has been having the problem for the past few weeks. The midfielder missed Arsenal’s second league match of the season at home to Burnley due to the same strain.

Also doubtful for the trip to Watford is Uruguay midfielder Lucas Torreira who asked to be subbed off during his team’s 2-1 win over Costa Rica. He had only played for 50 minutes before what appeared to be a hamstring problem.

To complete the trio on inured midfielders for Unai Emery’s side is young academy Graduate Joe Willock. The youngster pulled out of England’s under 21 squad with a calf problem and has already returned to the club for further assessment.
