Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro is a man under siege if the recent developments are anything to go by.
From an ardent supporter of President Uhuru Kenyatta, who at one point advised him to rule with an iron fist, Ndindi has morphed into a fierce critic of Uhuru-Raila pact christened Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), which he occasionally mocks as “Blue Band Initiative”.
While the political shift of allegiance from President Kenyatta endeared him to DP Ruto, it has only seen him get an iron-fist treatment from the former.
In a public spat with Mount Kenya MPs June this year, Kenyatta cautioned legislators allied to Tanga Tanga to stop derailing the gains he has made through the ‘handshake’ with Opposition leader Raila Odinga.
“The thugs we have chosen and are politicking should not think I am their small boy,” he stated in Kikuyu.
“No amount of political noise, the President vowed, will stop him “from taking the path I have made and where I want to take my people,” Kenyatta maintained.
Nyoro’s Embarrassing Moments with Kenyatta
April this year, President Uhuru Kenyatta, while attending the funeral service of Thayu Kamau, a prominent businessman, snubbed MP Nyoro’s speech after he excused himself out when the MP took the podium.
The president would only get back after the controversial MP had finished making his remarks and exited the podium.
But this was not the first time this public humiliation was happening.
In 2018, Uhuru took away the strength off from Nyoro’s feet after he excused himself while Nyoro stood to make his speech.

Nyoro would proceed with his speech, nevertheless, at one point, asking the president to donate Ksh 5 Million towards the development of Kiharu Constituency.
Unbeknown to him, President Kenyatta was listening wherever he went, and upon resuming his seat, cautioned Nyoro of disturbance.
“I hear some people asking for money. Account for the monies that have been allocated in your National Government Constituency Development Funds which are worth Sh100 million instead of loitering the country with endless meetings and unending speeches,” Kenyatta rebutted.
