NASA CEO Admitted to ICU at Nairobi Hospital

Nasa leader Raila Odinga leads Members of Parliament and friends in visiting ailing Nasa CEO Norman Magaya.

A report by The Star indicates that NASA CEO Norman Magaya has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at Nairobi Hospital.

The report further says that the family is embroiled in a tussle over who should access the ailing CEO at the hospital.

Magaya has been battling a heart condition for the past four months leading to his frequent visits to the hospital.

On September 3, news making rounds on social media indicated that the Nasa CEO was allegedly neglected by the ODM Party despite being a frontline defender and schemer of its policies.

The CEO, however, disputed the allegations and tweeted: “I have had a recurrent heart condition for the past four months and been admitted in the hospital on three occasions latest being last week. On all occasions both the coalition leadership and the @TheODMparty have stood with me.”

ODM Party, in response to the allegations, said the reports were unfounded since the party had responded to any needs and supported him.

“The ODM Party is aware that Nasa CEO Norman Magaya has been unwell. We continue to support him in every possible way and wish him a quick recovery.

Every request for support has been dealt with as and when received by the party,” ODM Party tweeted.

The party also revealed that there were no pending bills since the Party’s Secretary General Edwin Sifuna had visited him and confirmed the same.

“To the best of our knowledge, no pending bill exists. The SG @edwinsifunavisited with him during his most recent hospitalization and confirmed the same with Mr Magaya.

He would ordinarily contact the party if there were any such bills as he has always done,” ODM Party tweeted.

On September 4, Nasa leader Raila Odinga led a group of Members of Parliament in a visit to the ailing CEO at Nairobi Hospital.
