The Orange Democratic Party on Thursday outlined strict measures aimed at ensuring that its upcoming party nominations that will select its flag bearer for the Kibra mini-poll on Saturday is free and fair.
Through its Twitter handle, the Party foremost, indicated that only its registered members will take part in the exercise.
#ODMNominationsInKibra There shall be a membership register in all the 180 polling stations in Kibra Constituency. A member will be required to carry their National ID card to participate in the exercise on Saturday 7th September 2019.

Regarding security measures, it stated that two police officers will be stationed in every police station with others deployed to patrol the entire constituency.
The officers will also guard election materials during the exercise.

After the close of the process, the party indicated that the results will be first counted at the polling station before being relayed to the tallying center.
The returning officer at the tallying center will then make the final announcement and declare the winner.

The Party said that three members have been set aside to deal with any disputes that will arise from the exercise before it presents the winner’s name to IEBC on Monday 9.
