Internet explodes as Maasai Mara University Heist is Exposed!

After a shocking exposure which centers around Maasai Mara University corruption scandal that nets top officials at the institution including its vice-chancellor, Kenyans have taken to the internet to express their reactions.

The scandal dubed ‘Mara Heist’ was run by Citizen Tv on Sunday night exposing the rot that is deeply rooted in one of the public institutions Maasai Mara University.

In the revelations, one of the university’s chief accountant named Spencer reveals through audios and documents how the university through the Vice-Chancellor Professor Walingo had been withdrawing millions of money directly from the university’s accounts without proper explanations.

And on Sunday night, just hours after the exposure was ran on air, two conflicting hashtags started trending on twitter with one pact supporting Citizen TV while the other vindicating Maasai Mara University.

One of the shocking conversations that left many Kenyans perplexed was the conversation between the university’s vice-chancellor and the accountant where she threatened to have the accountant behind bars as well for exposing her and her accomplices.

“If you want to fight…we will fight. But I assure you that you are going nowhere. Now you are sharpening a knife for me. You will understand when I have been picked up by the police…don’t think you will take me to jail and you are left behind” said VC Walingo on a secretly recorded video by Mr. Spencer.

The vice chancellor’s driver Mr. Abdi Noor also left many asking how a person of his caliber could always accompany the accountants to the bank to collect money on behalf of her boss the VC.
