The English Premier League entered week four with some eye-catching duels witnessed. Liverpool and Manchester City continued with their winning streaks while Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea all settled for draws.

Below are some of the interesting occurrences that stole the hearts of fans this weekend.

Liverpool’s fire still unquenchable

Liverpool stayed top with a composed win against Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday for a club-record 13th straight Premier League win. Klopp’s side was kept under siege by the underdogs until when Trent Alexander-Arnold’s fine cross took a deflection off Chris Wood for an own goal to put the visitors in front.

Sadio Mane and Roberto Firminho laid matters to rest when they each scored a goal to stun the hosts before their home fans. The victory saw Liverpool stay put on top of the table with 12 points and they remain the only side that has won all the four matches since the season began.

Manchester City tirelessly Keeping Liverpool on toes

The 2018/19 was amazingly more of a race between Manchester City and Liverpool. Pep’s side lifted the title with 98 points, just one point ahead of the Reds and the enthralling race is set to continue this season.

Man City suffered a disappointing 2-2 draw to Tottenham Hotspur in their second match of the campaign, making them trail with 2 points behind their fierce rivals, Liverpool.

However, their 4-0 victory over Brighton on Saturday demonstrated their intention to pile pressure on the Reds and take advantage of even the slightest slip that Liverpool may face.

Manchester United’s victory remains unpredictable

Manchester United still have a lot to do if they’ve ever had the desire to lift this season’s title. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side faced a torrid time again with a frustrating 1-1 draw against Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday.

New signing Daniel James gave United the lead in style with an early goal in the 10th minute after a mindblowing blockbuster. But this was canceled by Jannik Vestergaard when he rose above Victor Lindelof to head home emphatically a Kevin Danso cross from the right.

United are now in the 8th position with 5 points after winning only one match this season. Solskjaer appeared genius during their 4-0 victory over Chelsea in the opener. But things turned around and the Red Devils have not secured any other win.

Arsenal’s emphatic comeback saved them shame

Arsenal’s duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette inspired a stirring comeback against rivals Tottenham Hotspur to salvage a 2-2 draw in a thrilling north London Premier League derby on Sunday. Spurs’ two goals were netted by Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane’s penalty.

Their effort saved them a shame of a second consecutive defeat as they approached the match with the previous week’s humiliating 3-1 loss to Liverpool at Anfield.

The Gunners are currently 5th in the table with 7 points same as Crystal Palace but with one goal separating them.
