
Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula has announced that they will field a candidate in the Kibra by-elections.
Taking to his Twitter handle, the Bungoma Senator revealed that the party will unveil a young and dynamic Kibra-born candidate who will continue the legacy left by the late Ken Okoth.
“Ford Kenya, the lion party will be unveiling its candidate in Kibra byelection next week. A dynamic, young, professional, Kibra-born, grassroots operator who will carry on with the dynamic legacy left by Hon Ken Okoth. Watch the space!!” read Musalia’s Twiter post.

Wetangula exuded confidence in his party’s chances of clinching the highly coveted seat, saying that the constituency has a long history with Ford-Kenya- Raila Odinga was elected on the lion party’s ticket as Kibra MP in 1992.
Ford Kenya brings to four, the number of major political parties interested in filling the position left by Ken Okoth who succumbed to colorectal cancer in July.
On Wednesday Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC unveiled former Raila aide Eliud Owalo as their candidate while ODM is expected to hold nominations in September.
Jubilee Party gave all aspirants interested in the party’s ticket until the close of business on Friday to tender their applications.
