The National Census begun on Saturday 24th August 2019 and is still in the process. A lot of issues have emerged surrounding the process, creating confusion among Kenyans.
According to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) the counting that is conducted after a decade had been well planned and all necessary measures put in place. However, some Kenyans had a different opinion on how the whole process has been carried out.
The enumerators training was marred by chaos from protesting youth who cited discrimination in the recruitment process. It came as a shock to the public after some enumerators declined to sign the contracts after their employer failed to pay training allowances in some regions.
Furthermore, Kenyans have been put through questions which are more or less irrelevant, with some even asking the most obvious of questions.
A section of Kenyans were asked of the most silly questions they had yet to be asked by enumerators during the process by a Facebooker.
