Harambee Stars defender Joseph Okumu has confirmed his move to Swedish top tier side IF Elfsborg. The 22 yeard old was previously playing for Real Monarchs in the United States of America.
He was one of the best if not the best performer for the National Team in the recently concluded Africa Cup Of Nations Tournament held in Egypt. Okumu previously played for Kakamega High School and Chemelil Sugar in the Kenya Premier League.
A very humble young man by nature, Okumu does not forget where he came from and through his social media accounts, he was quick to thank his former teams and the people who have been with him through his journey. Below is the full statement..

I am thrilled to announce that I have agreed to a transfer and a move to IF Elfsborg, and I have many thanks to give for this opportunity.
