Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has found himself on the receiving end after the former MP hopeful for Baringo South took swipes at him over his recent remarks alleging that he is the acting Senator for Baringo county.
While indirectly attacking the vocal Senator, Kibenei said that Murkomen has no moral authority to claim that he is an acting Senator for Baringo when Baringo has its own legally elected leaders.
“There is someone from another county who comes to Baringo claiming that he is our acting senator but he is never available for the people of Baringo.” said Kibenei
Kibenei’s vocal attacks on Murkomen comes just a few days after the youthful leader went to Kabarak to meet with Baringo Senator Gideon Moi who is also Kanu party leader.
“What pains me the most is that recently, I took a bold move to go and look for our own whom the people elected to represent them in the Senate but some people started criticizing me,” he added.
While making an indirect reference to Murkomen, Kibenei told off all those leaders going to Baringo masquerading as their leaders saying that Baringo have validly elected leaders.
While addressing Baringo residents together with DP William Ruto in Eldama Ravine in July, Murkomen had insinuated that he was the acting Senator for Baringo saying that the current Senator Gideon Moi had neglected his duties in the county.
The youthful politician lost to MP Charles Kamuren during Jubilee Party nominations in June 2018 when Baringo South went on a by-election following the death of their second term and inaugural legislator Grace Kipchoim.

Bennittes Kipyegon Mark Kebenei should have said something different from that. What does it concern him of Kipchumba Murkomen.
