Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has dismissed a letter making rounds on social media indicating that is a target of arrest in connection to drug dealing syndicate

Taking to his Facebook page, Kabogo said the letter was not genuine and was being propagated by malicious people to spoil his reputation.

“The spreaders of this letter are devils, let them be defeated. I wonder why some people’s character relates to those of pigs?” he questioned.

According to the letter dated August 27th and addressed to the Directorate of Public prosecutions Noordin Haji, the former governor is among the 10 people targeted for arrest.

“We hereby give notice that the following persons are wanted in one regard or the other (as specified below) in relation to affidavits and confessions made by Baktash Akasha, Ibrahim Akasha and Vijayghiri Goswami…in the course of their criminal conduct,” read the letter,” read the letter.

The letter also indicates that Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, Kenya Revenue Authority officials, former MP Harun Mwau, judicial officials among others are also wanted for questioning.

The authenticity of the letter is yet to be verified.

Over six months ago a similar letter was in circulation in the social media and was involving Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho.

Joho, however, wrote to Interpol seeking clarification on the matter saying it had tarnished his image. The Interpol dismissed the letter as fake.
