On Tuesday, Sailors Gang was slapped with a ban by KFCB Boss Ezekiel Mutua. In a statement seen on Twitter, Ezekiel argued that their ‘Wamlabez’ hit song ‘pure pornography’ and ‘unsuitable for mixed company’

Hours after the ban, The Sailors Gang cancelled an event in Embu. A situation that many believe was linked to the ban. The group has however refuted claims that the performance was cancelled because of the ban.

“They have issues with their venue and we couldn’t be able to reschedule the event,” they revealed.

“What do you guys have to say about the ban of the song?’ Opera News sought to find out. The group informed our writer that its business as usual on their end and fans should catch their performance this coming weekend.

“Nothing really. You can catch our shows on the weekend, it shall be business as usual.”

And business as usual it is as the group is scheduled to make a special appearance at Blend Thika on August 29th.
