Arsenal left-back Nacho Monreal is on the verge of sealing a move away from the club to join Spanish La Liga side Real Sociedad. The 33-year old joined Arsenal in 2013 from Malaga and has been the club’s first-choice left-back since.
The former Spanish international has won 3 FA Cups during his time with the Gunners and quickly established himself as a fan favorite with his hard-working displays. Arsenal manager Unai Emery confirmed that his departure is a ‘possibility’ after the Gunners lost 3-1 to Liverpool on Saturday.
‘With Nacho there is one possibility that’s open and we’re going to speak about that. Some players will leave as the window is still open in Europe but we cannot sign any other’ The manager said.
Nacho Monreal is indeed close to leaving Arsenal for Sociedad as reported by another source. Real Sociedad are serious on this occasion and a deal could materialize in the next hours. [@mundodeportivo]

Monreal has started in all of Arsenal’s 3 Premier League games this season. He has made 251 appearances for Arsenal scoring 10 goals and 20 assists.
Farewell loyal Arsenal servant Nacho Monreal? Real Sociedad are said to be interested in the Gunners left-back with Kieran Tierney very much the long-term option for Unai Emery. Thoughts? pic.twitter.com/hGoYqelYFa

Good luck to Nacho Monreal at Sociedad. Very solid player for us since 2013.
