A lot has been said about DJ Kriss Darlin following his theatrics of kneeling before ODM leader Raila Odinga during a rally in Kibra on Sunday.
The Reggae DJ asked Raila to hold his hand adding that he would take a bullet for the former premier if that would let him lead the country in 2022.
“I have heard that there are many young men in Parliament fighting Baba (Raila), allow me as their fellow youth to go fight them in there as you wait to fight in 2022. Let them shoot me if it means that you remain and lead in 2022. I ask that you hold my hand Baba,” he said.
There is nothing wrong with Kriss Darling kneeling before H. E Raila. That’s loyalty and it can be achieved through many ways. Sugoi apologists should not condemn Raila for non issues. We have seen Kositany, William Chepkut and many others kneeling before DP Ruto. pic.twitter.com/fgDSWbrPIg

Although many people have criticized Darlin for kneeling before Raila, this incident has given him an upper hand in the race to succeed Ken Okoth. Darlin is the only candidate who has been trending countrywide since Sunday’s rally. All politicians covet publicity, whether negative or positive. At the moment the DJ is the most popular candidate in the race.
In politics, the best Asset a politician wishes to have is publicity, either positive or negative.
Kriss Darling must be the happiest candidate in kibra currently.— Patrick Safari (@patricksafariR) August 26, 2019
Kisumu based Musician, Suzanna Owiyo has defended him stating that it was a smart move for him bearing in mind that it is his first time being in politics.
Well, I don’t see the problem in kneeling down. Kriss Darling needed to prove himself at the moment! In a podium like that & being new in the game, you must find a way to be defferent. I wish him plus other candidates well! Kibra politics not a joke.

Interestingly, Kriss Darlin is not the first politician to kneel before Baba. So why the noise now?

As much as he has been harshly bashed online, Kriss Darlin may be a step away to becoming the next Kibra MP.
